John Gage, Director of Performing Arts Unit
John Gage is an established folk singer/songwriter who has made a career of entertaining audiences with his resonant tenor voice and flat-picking guitar. John performs on arts and festival stages, in concert halls, classrooms and anyplace else where there is a potential audience wanting to sing along. John has extensive experience planning collaboratively with classroom teachers for arts education programs and participating in curriculum planning. In addition, he conducts interactive workshops and motivational speeches throughout the southeast region in an effort to help educators and parents understand how personal involvement with music and other performing arts contribute to improved academic learning and overall personal well being. In addition, John is a veteran stage emcee and is host of Kentucky Homefront, a radio show that preserves Kentucky’s cultural heritage through storytelling and traditional music. He also works with master Andean folk musician Fernando Moya to present bilingual programs that demonstrate through music and narration how we are all connected. John and Fernando also plan the international folk music series at the Kentucky Theater.



Jim Delehanty, House Manager
Jim handles rentals for use of the Kentucky Theater. Jim is a retired Air Force veteran with more than 21 years of active service. During his career he served during the Vietnam and Persian Gulf Wars, holding various positions in the Traffic Management filed. Jim has been very active with the Kentucky Theater Project for three years. His day-to-day responsibilities are in the overall management of the Kentucky Theater, including rentals, maintenance, purchasing and security. Jim also posts events on the marquee, assists with stage set up and tear down, and coordinating operational and logistics needs with user groups.



 
Fernando Moya, Cultural Artist in Residence
KTP’s cultural artist in residence Fernando Moya brings the Andean folk tradition to the Kentucky Theater and Louisville community. Fernando is a native of Quito, Ecuador, and master musician and crafter of indigenous instruments from the Andean Mountains. He is passionate about keeping the music of the Andes alive and educating others about the importance of preserving folk traditions. Believing his highest purpose is to provide others with a fresh perspective on the struggles of the Andean people to conserve their culture and vision of the world, Fernando presents the rich heritage of folkloric music, songs and traditions of South America through public concerts at the Kentucky Theater and other venues statewide, school educational programs and community festivals. He also works with master folk musician John Gage to present bilingual programs that demonstrate through music and narration how we are all connected. Fernando and John also plan the international folk music series at the Kentucky Theater.



 
Misha Feigin
Misha Feigin
was born and raised in Moscow and is known as one of Russia's premiere guitarists.  When he immigrated to the US in 1990, he left behind an established position in the Moscow arts scene highlighted by his four albums on the "Melodia" label, features on major radio and television shows, and national and international tours. He currently assists with multicultural programming at the Kentucky Theater by coordinating special performances by Bosnian and Russian musicians.


 

Gwendolyn Murphy, Director of Visual Arts Unit
Gwen is dedicated to community, art and other artists. She is a calligrapher, fine artist, designer and event planner who specializes in designing silk wearable art, porcelain ear art, and calligraphic greeting cards. In her volunteer staff capacity at KTP, Gwen coordinates art exhibits, searching out works of yet-to-be-discovered artists, as well as emerging and established local artists, and plans artist's receptions and special events in the visual arts arena. Gwen also teaches visual arts in community centers to arts appreciators ages 3 to 103. Gwen has a Bachelor of Arts degree from UofL in Fine Arts, with a concentration in ceramics and minor in Art Education.


 

Bob Thompson takes to the stage of Kentucky Homefront as Col. Bob every week on public radio, sparking the imaginations of radio listeners statewide. In a separate role as Executive Director of the Corn Island Storytelling Festival, Bob designs storytelling events and activities at the Kentucky Theater, including the annual Ghost Tales and Ghost Walks in October.

 

Chris Hartman, Founder and Director of Project Improv
Chris founded Project Improv, a comedy troupe that specializes in Chicago-style long form improvisation. The troupe performs every Friday at the Kentucky Theater, taking the art of zaniness to new heights through fresh and creative approaches.
